We offer competitive play for students during evening court time. Competitive play may include games, matches, or round robin competition. Campus Recreation’s Summer Tennis Camp is open to youth from all skill levels to learn the game of tennis, develop a life-long appreciation for playing, and advance tennis skills in a fun and competitive environment.
We welcome players from ages 10-17 and each week campers will be broken into small instructional groups based on age and ability. This format follows the Youth Progression Model implemented by the USTA (United States Tennis Association). We adjust each program to the player’s level and focus on skill development through games, drills, and point play. Our beginners will focus on fun and basic skills, while more advanced players focus on strategy, point building, percentage tennis, and more. Join us for a summer filled with joy and tennis!
The camp will be held at the Campus Recreation Outdoor Tennis Courts located between the Penn State Intramural (IM) Building and Pennypacker Hall on Curtain Road. If there is inclement weather, the camp will move to the Tennis Center’s indoor tennis courts.
- To enroll, visit pennstatecampusrec.org and click on Tennis or stop by the Tennis Center. We accept credit cards.
